Regardless of season or driving conditions, Mazda’s i-Activ AWD² system – optional on the Mazda3, increases driver confidence and control. 27 sensors monitor countless road, environmental, and vehicle aspects 200 times per second. Any loss of traction is predicted and addressed long before it can become a hazard. 

REAR-WHEEL RESPONSIVENESS

In a traction-loss situation, i-Activ AWD² instantly transfers torque to the rear wheels to deliver more traction and regain full stability and control.  

POWER & EFFICIENCY

Mazda’s i-Activ AWD² uses fuel when needed. At all other times, the system applies optimal distribution of torque and minimizes drivetrain energy loss to maximize fuel efficiency.

TURBOCHARGED TORQUE

Select drivers who are intent on maximizing performance and satisfaction from every drive will opt for an available Skyactiv-G 2.5 T Dynamic Pressure Turbo¹ engine, outputting up to a muscular 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque⁴. Specifically calibrated for the Mazda3, this is the optimal engine and vehicle configuration, which goes the extra kilometre in delivering pure driving joy.

SMOOTH OPERATION

G-Vectoring Control utilizes steering inputs to instantly calculate the torque required to shift the Mazda3’s weight to reduce vehicle body roll on sharp corners. So, even while cornering, the relationship between driver, vehicle, and road is never more seamless and connected.

PRIVATE eCALL

With the new Private eCall feature, your Mazda is now equipped to provide you an additional safety net, if the situation arises. In an inadvertent situation like an accident, the vehicle automatically initiates a Private eCall and connects the vehicle occupants to an emergency call centre that is specifically equipped to manage such situations. They will help customers get the required emergency services like fire, police, or an ambulance service. The Private eCall can also be initiated by manually pressing the SOS button in the vehicle.

STOLEN VEHICLE ASSISTANCE

Select Mazda vehicles are now equipped with the Stolen Vehicle Assistance function that can help authorities to track and retrieve the vehicle in the event of a vehicle theft. In the event of a theft, the customer can connect with a call centre and initiate a Stolen Vehicle tracking request. The call centre, after verifying the theft claim, will initiate tracking and share the vehicle location with the authorities periodically until the vehicle is retrieved.

Staying connected to your world is simple, with a standard 8.8-inch-wide colour display or available 10.25-inch colour display⁵ for the infotainment system.
